I knew I wanted a hunting companion - a trainable, birdy labrador retriever So I found the best breeder I could find. I went to see Daisy when she was 3 weeks old. In the next puppy box was a lone pup, curled up and miserable. I was told he was the last one to go from his litter and he'd been by himself all week. I took Chester home right then.
Five weeks later I brought Daisy home and for the next year I worked hard with those eager, driven pups. It was obvious they had the benefit of being in a long line of esteemed field champions, but I just wanted solid hunters.
Over the years we duck hunted all across the shores of the Chesapeake, and watching them charge into the icy waters again and again is something I will remember forever.
For fun I got them both titled as Junior Hunters, a far cry from their true potential. I just wanted good gun dogs and a loyal pet, but there's no doubt that there are potential Field Champions in this bunch, if someone had the inclination to go in that direction.
Daisy had 8 pups on 01/09/xxxx. All black, 4 males and 4 females. They will be ready on 3/10/xxxx. I am accepting $200 non-refundable deposits now.
